Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, our representative will meet you and drive you to your first evening. Arusha is a major international diplomatic hub. The city hosts and is regarded as the de facto capital of the East African Community. Arusha is surrounded by some of Africa's most famous landscapes and national parks. Situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, it has a mild climate.

Overnight at Legendary Coffee Lodge: Set in lush tropical gardens on a working coffee farm just outside Arusha, the Legendary Lodge features six beautiful garden cottages, each with an inspiring view of Mount Meru from its own private veranda. Designed with a unique blend of African arts and crafts, combined with old, colonial-style luxury, the cottages offer king-sized beds, a separate lounge with a fireplace, and ensuite bathrooms with deep tubs and refreshing showers.

The two-bedroom Kahawa Cottage is ideal for families, while two cozy en suite rooms are available in The Old Farmhouse for those who prefer to be closer to the dining room and guest lounge. Mouth-watering gourmet meals are served in the gracious environment of The Old Farmhouse, while the Legendary Therapies Spa offers rejuvenating treatments in the elegant therapy room or in the privacy of the guest cottages.

Included: Dinner with alcoholic beverages

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the lodge with views of Mount Meru in the background. Enjoy breakfast either at your cottage verandah or at the main house restaurant. After breakfast leave for Tarangire National Park, arriving at Oliver's Camp for lunch. After lunch leave the camp for a walking safari, a specialty of Oliver's Camp. The privilege of walking in these natural areas gives you an exhilarating feeling of adventure.

Although you'll usually get close to large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffalos, or even lions, walking safaris are very safe. The experienced guides of Oliver's Camp and an armed national park ranger will accompany you on every walk. Walking safaris can take an hour or a whole afternoon depending on your flexibility and liking. Return to camp in time to enjoy a sundowner around the bonfire and later dinner shall be served at the main mess tent.

Oliver's Camp: Oliver’s Camp is situated in the remote south-eastern reaches of the Tarangire National Park. This relatively undeveloped park – celebrated by safari travelers looking to head a little off the beaten track – offers a welcome respite from the crowds of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater to the north. At Oliver’s, the ten en-suite safari tents offer bush luxury without superfluous frills.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner and all drinks (except champagne, cellar wines, and premium brand spirits)

Day 3: Game drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will leave the camp and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Named after the river that flows through the park, Tarangire National Park is one of the lesser-known Tanzanian national parks, giving it a real air of undiscovered Africa.

Famous for its tree-climbing pythons, massive baobabs, and large herds of elephants, Tarangire National Park is small but still home to a significant wildlife population. Birding is particularly good here; the swamps, tinged green year round, are home to 550 bird varieties; the most breeding species in one habitat anywhere in the world.

After a fun-filled day at the park, you will be driven back to Oliver's camp arriving in time to enjoy the sunset as you sip your chilled drinks and snacks provided by the camp.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with all drinks (except champagne, cellar wines, and premium brand spirits)

Day 4: Game drive to Lake Manyara National Park

Leave Oliver's Camp after breakfast and head to Lake Manyara National Park. Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-meter high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”.

From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbucks tread warily through the shadows and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife.

More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large waterbirds such as pelicans, cormorants, and storks.

As the sun sets drive to Ngorongoro Explorers Lodge arriving for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Explorers Lodge: Set in 50 acres of virgin Tanzanian bush in the Ngorongoro volcanic landscape, this wood log cabin-style retreat is located a few steps from the Game Reserve Gate and a minute's drive away from the Ngorongoro Crater.

This all-inclusive property features twenty spacious private log cabins with fireplaces as well as a restaurant, a bar, and conference facilities. Indulge in moments of relaxation at the swimming pool or at the Mvua African Rain Spa after a full-day game drive.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with all drinks with a few exceptions

Day 5: Game Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will visit the Ngorongoro crater, the main feature of which is a large, unbroken, unfolded volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea.

Game drives through the Ngorongoro Crater begin early in the morning in closed safari vehicles with pop–up roofs. Accompanied by an expert driver guide, a magnificent experience is sure to be had! The descent into the crater is one of scenic beauty, as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffalo.

As you reach the inside of the Ngorongoro Crater, marveling at the incredible landscape around you, your guide will take you through the grassy crater floor, the unbelievable fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi, and the surrounding marshes. Lunch is served picnic style, surrounded by the natural wonders around you as well as the exceptional wildlife, roaming freely, with which you share this extraordinary paradise.

You will have the privilege to observe the interaction between the different species. You will return to Exploreans Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with all drinks with a few exceptions

Day 6: Transfer to South Serengeti Ndutu Area

After breakfast, leave Ngorongoro heading for the seemingly endless plains of Serengeti to visit the Oldupai Gorge, home of the historic site known as "The Cradle of Mankind" where the world-famous archeologist, Dr. Leakey, discovered the remains of early humankind.

You will then arrive at the Olakira Tented Camp situated in the Ndutu Area.

Olakira Tented Camp: Like the wildebeest that are the stars of the Serengeti Annual Migration, Olakira is a wanderer; a luxurious under-canvas camp that moves with the seasons, forever following the herds to ensure you have a front-row seat to the greatest show on earth. Fine linens, finer dining, and a touch of nomadic romance are the hallmarks of this authentic

East African safari camp. Whether it’s at the river crossings of the northern Serengeti, or on the great grassy plains of the south, the intimate Olakira ensures the best of the Serengeti is always right on your doorstep

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and all drinks with the exception of a few

Day 7: Game Drive in South Serengeti, Ndutu Area

The annual Serengeti wildebeest migration is, quite simply, a drama in two acts: the dramatic dash for freedom as the herds cross the deadly Mara River on their march from Kenya, and the remarkable months of calving in the lush grasslands of the south. And with Olakira Camp itself migrating twice per year, you’ll always have a front-row seat to the action.

With the expertise of top guides, the camp has year-round access to the finest areas in the Serengeti for game viewing. Game drives are the main activity at Olakira Camp with walking safaris being exceptionally popular when the camp is in the south from December to March.

In the evening, guests gravitate towards the campfire to reflect on the day’s adventures. Here under the Serengeti stars, the staff share stories and serve a delicious dinner few would imagine possible in the middle of the wilderness.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and all drinks with the exception of a few

Day 8: Transfer to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, leave the Olakira Camp heading towards the Seronera area in Central Serengeti. The central Serengeti is home to the beautiful Seronera Valley. Several perennial rivers run through this valley enabling many resident animals to thrive year round. The combination of location and resident prey attracts the largest populations of predators in Africa. It is this amazing abundance and diversity of easily seen large predators that attracts thousands of visitors and hundreds of researchers to the Seronera River valley each year.

There is simply no better place in Africa to observe these large carnivores and since many are residents, excellent encounters are available year-round regardless of the season or where the great migratory herds are located. It is not unusual to see all four large predators (lion, hyena, leopard, and cheetah) during the course of a day in the central Serengeti.

You will enjoy a full-day game drive safari as you track the "Big Five" in this extensive and intriguing park. You will then be driven to Dunia Tented Camp arriving for dinner and overnight.

Dunia Tented Camp: Dunia is a small, intimate camp that evokes a sense of being immersed in nature - as close as you will ever get - while still being able to enjoy the warm hospitality and luxury that the camp offers. Attention to detail is balanced with an essence of graceful simplicity that is in harmony with its tranquil and exclusive location.

Dunia Camp offers superb game viewing all year round from its secluded location in the southwest corner of the Central Seronera Valley - the heart of the Serengeti.

This area is renowned for its abundance of game, especially big cats, and is right in the path of the extraordinary annual Great Migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and all drinks with the exception of a few

Day 9: Full Day Game drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, leave the camp to spend a great day in this African savannah land. Serengeti National Park quite simply offers the finest game viewing anywhere in Africa. Unrivaled concentrations of wildlife, stunningly beautiful landscapes, and vast pristine areas make Serengeti National Park our pick for the best national park in the whole of Africa.

As well as the migration of ungulates, the Serengeti National Park is well known for its stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five” - lion, leopard, elephant, black rhinoceros & buffalo – as well as cheetahs, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, topi, elands, waterbucks, hyenas, baboons, impalas, African wild dogs and giraffes. The park also boasts about 500 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, and many species of vultures.

In the evening, you will drive back to the camp just in time to enjoy a drink as you watch the sunset over the Serengeti plains. After a well-deserved shower, you will sit at the camp's mess tent for freshly prepared food for dinner.

Return to Dunia Camp arriving just in time to enjoy an evening sundowner. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and all drinks with a few exceptions

Day 10: Transfer from Seronera to Arusha/ Departure
