Day 1: Arrival

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by our representative at the airport who will transfer you to KIA Lodge which is just 3 minutes away from the airport. This will allow you enough time to sleep and rest before beginning your safari the next morning.
Arusha is a major international diplomatic hub. The city hosts and is regarded as the de facto capital of the East African Community. Arusha is surrounded by some of Africa's most famous landscapes and national parks. Situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, it has a mild climate.
The Bay Leaf Hotel; The Bay Leaf is a wonderfully refreshing boutique hotel that does not try to emulate African décor but provides refined luxury. The needs of guests are given complete attention, and you are made to feel like you are the only guest. The hotel is located on a quiet leafy road and has been converted from a large private residence with secluded, gated grounds, with a family of monkeys in residence. Polite, charming, and helpful staff whose attention to detail is memorable maintain a security presence at all times.
Day 2: Arusha - Serengeti

Activity: Flight to Kogatende
After breakfast at the lodge, your driver-guide will come pick you up from the lodge ready to transfer you to Arusha airport where you will board the Coastal Aviation flight to Kogatende.
Upon arrival in Kogatende, you will enjoy an afternoon tea/ snack and then leave for an evening game drive or guided walking safari. You will then return to camp just in time to enjoy a sundowner around the campfire and later dinner at the mess tent.
Sayari Camp: Sayari Camp is situated at a stunning sight on the Mara River, in the unspoiled and undiscovered northern part of Serengeti National Park. Far from the tourist track, the area offers an undisturbed exploration of the fantastic Serengeti National Park, with off-road driving still allowed in some parts. Endless rolling plains and riverine woodlands are home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, large herds of antelope, and many other animals.
The stunning Mara River, filled with hippos and crocodiles, cuts through this land and hosts one of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer: the dramatic wildebeest crossings of the Mara River. Between mid-July and November, the Great Migration typically visits the area and crosses the Mara River back and forth in search of green grass.
Day 3: Serengeti

Activity: Game Drive Safari
After breakfast, you will leave the camp for a game drive safari to one of the most scenic experiences you will ever have. Sayari Camp is located in the remote and exclusive northern Serengeti. Game drives from Sayari Camp are unlike anything else in the Serengeti due to the exclusive location on the Mara River. Game viewing is often enjoyed without meeting many - if any - other tourists. The remote, vast lands of the northern Serengeti offer undisturbed wildlife watching that stuns even the most experienced African travelers.
As well as the migration of ungulates, the Serengeti National Park is well known for its stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five” - lion, leopard, elephant, black rhinoceros & buffalo – as well as cheetahs, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, topi, elands, waterbucks, hyenas, baboons, impalas, African wild dogs, and giraffes.
The park also boasts about 500 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, and many species of vultures. In the evening, you will drive back to the camp just in time to enjoy a drink as you watch the sunset over the Serengeti plains. After a well-deserved shower, you will sit at the camp's mess tent for freshly prepared food for dinner.

Day 4: Serengeti

Activity: Game Drive Safari
Another day was spent in this spectacular part of the world. Spend the morning in camp getting reacquainted with a good book, or discovering the treasures that hide in the cozy library and bar. Sun yourself by the rim-flow pool, where you can still enjoy wonderful game viewing. Indulge in a spa treatment from expert therapists, or savor a leisurely lunch as you scan the horizon for signs of the resident game. In the afternoon, consider a visit to nearby Meruga Village to learn about the Kuria tribe, their culture, traditions, and way of life.
Spectacular Mara River crossings, off-road driving, and endless landscapes overflowing with animals, with no humans to be seen, are some of the specialties of this remote and wild paradise. A bush breakfast observing thousands of migrating wildebeest and zebra is a majestic and memorable experience.
Reading, dreaming, drawing, painting, writing, and simply contemplating are just some of the activities that Sayari Camp invites you to partake in when in camp. Life just might appear in a different light when you return home after a stay in this enchanted area.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Activity: Transfer to Serengeti Central
Another day in Serengeti National Park exploring this extensive park with a picnic lunch! Today you will leave after breakfast and drive to central Serengeti while game viewing is on the way.
You will spend the first part of the day game viewing in the Lobo area while making your way towards the Seronera River valley, an area rich with wildlife year-round and is set high on the saddle of a tree-clad ridge commanding panoramic views over the endlessly rolling reaches and volcanic reefs of the Serengeti.
You will make a stop at the Retima Hippo pool where you will have a chance to get out of the vehicle and walk close to the river to see the Hippos nearby. You might be able to see crocodiles in the same pool or somewhere on the river.
You will stop for a picnic lunch along the way before proceeding with your game drive safari arriving at Dunia camp for dinner and overnight.
Dunia Camp: Dunia is a small, intimate camp that evokes a sense of being immersed in nature - as close as you will ever get - while still being able to enjoy the warm hospitality and luxury that the camp offers. Day 6: Serengeti National Park

Day 7: Seronera to Karatu

After breakfast, you will leave the camp and drive past the Serengeti plains and onto the Ngorongoro highlands. You will stop by the Oldupai Gorge for a tour of the museum. You will visit the historic site known as "The Cradle of Mankind" where the world-famous archeologist, Dr. Leakey, discovered the remains of early humans.
Plantation Lodge: Like a green oasis, Plantation Lodge rests on the soft, red-brown hills amidst the vastness and silence of East Africa. The individually furnished rooms and suites melting harmoniously into the flowering garden offer comfort and relaxation. Everywhere you look, you can see and even feel the personal atmosphere of this owner-run lodge with furnishings that were selected with great attention to detail. Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will visit the Ngorongoro crater, the main feature is a large, unbroken, unfolded volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea.
Game drives through the Ngorongoro Crater begin early in the morning in closed safari vehicles with pop–up roofs. Accompanied by an expert driver-guide, a magnificent experience is sure to be had! The descent into the crater is one of scenic beauty, as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffalo.
As you reach the inside of the Ngorongoro Crater, marveling at the incredible landscape around you, your guide will take you through the grassy crater floor, the unbelievable fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi, and the surrounding marshes. Lunch is served picnic style, surrounded by the natural wonders around you as well as the exceptional wildlife, roaming freely, with which you share this extraordinary paradise.
As the sun sets you will ascend from the crater’s floor and drive back to Plantation Lodge arriving just in time to enjoy a sundowner and then dinner. The formal dining room features an outdoor terrace and offers healthy options, an à la carte selection for dinner with a light and tasty Mediterranean cuisine fused with local dishes. The majority of the meat, fruits, and dairy products are sourced from the lodge’s vegetable garden and from the communities that surround the conservation area.
Day 9: Transfer from Manyara to Arusha/ Departure
After breakfast you will leave Plantation Lodge and drive back to Arusha, arriving for lunch and a day room at the Legendary Lodge. You will enjoy an afternoon siesta and later transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international departure flight.
