Overnight at Mount Meru Hotel; Situated at the foothills of Mount Meru in the city of Arusha, Tanzania, the Mount Meru Hotel lies on nine acres of lush landscape, surrounded by some of Africa’s most breath-taking vistas, rich with a diverse array of wildlife, etched against the fertile slopes of this beautiful mountain. Your first night will be spent in a standard room with bed & breakfast included.

Day 2: Game Drive to Tarangire National Park

We will drive you today to one of the most important national parks of northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park. After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and you will be driven to Tarangire National Park. Elephant families are often spotted as close as two meters away from the 4X4 vehicle in which you are seated. The area surrounds the Valley of Tarangire River, and is home to some of the nation’s largest and most magnificent baobab trees, believed by the Maasai to be the first tree in creation. Tarangire National Park covers 2,600 square kilometers and is on the traditional migration route of several species of the wildlife. At dry times, the concentration of animals in Tarangire rivals that of the much better known Serengeti. Herds of migratory wildebeest, gazelle, zebra and buffalo gather along the marshy shores of Lake Natron. These pools are shared by flocks of birds: green wood hoopoes, fisher lovebirds, tallish herons, white bellied go-away birds and giant kingfishers. Resident lions, giraffes, elephants, and black rhinos are common at any season.

After a full day game drive safari with picnic lunch you will be driven out of the park and head to Maramboi Tented Camp arriving in time for a sundowner and later dinner at the restaurant.

Overnight at Maramboi Tented Camp: Maramboi Tented Camp offers permanent camp facilities and endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. A visit to the area is essential for anyone interested in the origins and evolution of humankind and an explanation of the Rift Valley and Africa's big picture. It is a complete semi-desert experience. An impressive landscape from the Rift Valley gives the visitor an amazing natural welcome to an area extraordinarily rich in wildlife. The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai, a sacred mountain for the Maasai.

Included: Breakfast, picnic lunch & dinner

Day 3: Game Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will visit the Ngorongoro crater, the main feature of which is a large, unbroken, unfolded volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea.

Game drives through the Ngorongoro Crater begin early in the morning in closed safari vehicles with pop – up roofs. Accompanied by an expert driver guide, a magnificent experience is sure to be had! The descent into the crater is one of scenic beauty, as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffalo.
As you reach the inside of the Ngorongoro Crater, marvelling at the incredible landscape around you, your guide will take you through the grassy crater floor, the unbelievable fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi and the surrounding marshes. Lunch is served picnic style, surrounded by the natural wonders around you as well as the exceptional wildlife, roaming freely, with which you share this extraordinary paradise. You will have the privilege to observe the interaction between the different species.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge Situated on the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, in the volcanic highlands of Tanzania, Sopa Lodge is perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano. It has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, which is home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, the rare and endangered black rhino, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, gazelle and wildebeest. Its position on the eastern rim allows a spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.

Overnight at Laiboni Tented Camp: Laiboni Camp is located near the Maasai village of Laiboni, west of the city of Arusha. It is in the heart of some of the best animal migration corridors, east of Lake Manyara.
